hello  bonjour • yia sou

I’m Elisabeth, an Ottawa-based journalist, editor and fact checker.

I tell solutions-oriented print and digital stories about climate change and resilience, environmental activism, nature, conservation and more.

As a Poynter-Koch Fellow, I recently served as Editor in Chief for The Scope, covering stories of hope, justice and resilience in Greater Boston communities.

about elisabeth

Let’s get to know each other!

I grew up in a news-loving Greek family in Ottawa, Canada’s charming capital city.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a degree in communications and political science in 2021, I embarked on my next adventure — studying in Boston. In 2023, I completed a master’s in journalism at Northeastern University.

Since then, I’ve covered the environment for The Scope, written about mansions for Boston Magazine, and profiled Explorers at the National Geographic Society.

When I’m not out reporting, you’ll find me at a local coffee shop reviewing cold brews for my Instagram, cooking Greek recipes or searching for seashells at the beach.
